Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 27-bed medical and surgical combined ICU unit
• Typically assigned 5 patients per shift
• Some weekends and holidays required
• Self-scheduling model with every other weekend requirement on a 4-week schedule
• Orientation consists of 3 shifts - first shift is hospital-wide orientation, followed by 2 shifts working with a unit nurse
• Float rotation system in place with potential to float to other units as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only)
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current NC RN licensure
• IV start skills required
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Work with common patient populations including general surgery, orthopedics, CHF, diabetes, general illness, and sepsis
• Unit typically staffed with 3 aids and a unit secretary
• EMR system: MEDITECH (experience not required)
• Must have 2 supervisory references
