Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work in Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac care
• Patient ratios: 1:4 during days, 1:5 during nights
• Every other weekend requirement
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Float to similar units as needed
• No call required
• 2 years of PCU experience required with strong PCU background within the last year
• EPIC experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, EKG test on arrival
• Preferred skills: CPI, sheath removal, care of ventilated patients
• Must wear any color scrubs
• Care for patients with chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia
• Handle medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, and orthopedic overflow patients
• Manage post-catheterization with stent patients, ICD/pacemaker insertions, and cardioversions
• Titrate cardiac drips including Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin
• Work with specialized equipment including Bipap, Cpap, Vapotherm, Alaris Pumps, Phillips Monitoring System
• If contracted during all 3 major winter holidays, must work at least 2 of the 3 holidays

This 300-bed acute care hospital features a 47-bed Progressive Care Unit with comprehensive cardiac services and trauma capabilities. The facility maintains Magnet status and provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The hospital utilizes EPIC charting systems and offers free parking for staff members.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
