Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Must have pediatric experience with patients 6 years old and up
• Required certifications: PALS and ACLS upon hire, BLS
• 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6-8
• Self-scheduling available
• Patient ratios of 6 during days, nights, and weekends
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Travelers may float to different units
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must be more than 75 miles from facility to be eligible as traveler
• Required skills include O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, isolation precaution/PPE, computerized documentation, and rapid response team activation
• Additional skills include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, telemetry monitoring, PICC line management, and tracheostomy care/management
• Care for adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients
• Daily census of 18-22 patients in a 24-room, 36-bed unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
