Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with every other weekend required
• Patient ratios of 1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights
• Float to other Med/Surg units and Observation Unit as needed
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including stroke, CHF, dementia/delirium, cellulitis, COPD, psychiatric conditions, withdrawal, end of life care, and dialysis patients
• Work on 26-bed adult medical unit with 26 rooms and daily census of 26
• Team includes RNs, PCAs, unit secretaries, and charge nurse
• Required certifications: BCLS and NIHSS
• 1 year Med/Surg experience required, Cerner experience preferred
• Skills include blood product administration, central line blood draws, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, IV insulin protocols, phlebotomy, and IV management
• Utilize lift equipment and work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• First time travelers accepted
