Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts with rotating schedule - primarily days (2 months days 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 1 month nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Weekend requirements: 4 weekend shifts per schedule for days (Saturdays and Sundays), up to 5 weekend shifts per schedule for nights (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday coverage required if contract period includes holidays
• Patient ratios vary from 1:1, 1:2, to 1:3 depending on ICU and step-down patient mix
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• 2 years of PICU experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• South Carolina or Multi-State Compact RN license required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Care for children ages 0-18 with medical and surgical diagnoses including respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative patients, and neurology/neurosurgery cases
• Provide intensive care support including ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO/CRRT, dialysis, and complex supportive therapies
• Work with interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, pediatric dietitians, and pediatric pharmacists
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks as guaranteed hours policy
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application
• 12 hours of orientation required
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

This facility operates a 28-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit providing intensive and intermediate care services. The facility serves as a pediatric trauma center and quaternary referral facility for the region, offering comprehensive pediatric care including ECMO and CRRT services managed by specialized teams.
