Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Option for 4x12 hour shifts
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatrics population
• 30-bed medical surgical unit
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Must adhere to call-in policy
• Skills include: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA, peripheral and PICC line management, surgical drains
• Required certifications: Alabama nursing license, current BLS via AHA, fit test
• NIHSS certification preferred
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Charting system experience required
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Modules completed during orientation (average 8 hours)
