Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week with every other weekend required
• 36 hours guaranteed per week with 36 or 48-hour contract options available
• Care for adult medical and surgical patients battling cancer, palliative care patients, and provide family education on oncological processes
• Also care for urology and telemetry patients on 29-bed unit
• Patient ratios: 4-5:1 during days, 5-6:1 during nights
• May float within scope to like units to meet facility needs
• Required certifications: BLS, ONCC/ONS (chemotherapy certification)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Skills include: telemetry monitoring, central line draws, port care, blood administration, PCA pumps, bone marrow aspiration assistance, Pleurx chest tubes
• Chemotherapy administration experience preferred within 1 year
• Use Cerner charting system
• Dress code: Royal blue/white scrubs
• 16-hour orientation provided
• Complete 2-4 hours of non-billable modules prior to start date
• WV or compact RN license required (pending license acceptable)
• Must live more than 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only during October 1st - March 31st)
• Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests
• Facility will consider strong candidates without oncology experience
