Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Must be flexible with weekend requirements - 50% of weekends in contract must be worked
• Must be willing to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) - refusal may result in contract termination
• Must be comfortable precepting and having students shadow during assignment
• Patient ratios: 1:5 during days, 1:5-6 during nights
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular surgical, peripheral vascular surgical, arrhythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation conditions
• Required certifications: BLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must have telemetry experience and IV start skills
• Preferred experience with Cerner charting system
• Call-in policy: missed shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• May be required to provide charge nurse coverage with training and resources provided
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Indiana license must be in hand prior to start date
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Local candidates (Indiana residents) not accepted for this position
