Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with previous charge experience required
• Must be flexible with weekend requirements and able to work 50% of weekends during contract
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 (rarely 1:5 during emergencies)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS
• Must have telemetry experience, proficient neuro experience, and management of drips
• Preferred experience includes conscious sedation and Level 1 trauma
• Floating is 100% required - may float to Med-Surg, PCU, ICU levels of care
• May be expected to provide charge coverage with training and resources
• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or having students shadow
• Care for patients with CVAs, hydrocephalus, brain tumors and resections, seizures, TBIs, trauma cases, GI surgeries, and wound care
• Skills required include arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, chest tubes, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and titrating cardiac drips
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• Cerner charting system preferred
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
