Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 shift schedule
• Every other weekend requirement
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Patient ratios: 5:1 during days, 6:1 during nights and weekends
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience
• Required certifications: BCLS, NIHSS, ACLS
• Required skills: Med/Surg experience, starting and maintaining IVs, nasal cannula, oxygen administration
• Preferred skills: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, previous charge experience
• Must have experience with Cerner charting system
• Floating required to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• Charge coverage responsibilities may be required with training and resources provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical surgical diagnoses
• Handle patients with COVID, abdominal pain, respiratory distress, and symptom-based conditions requiring further workup
• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams
• First time travelers not accepted
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only

This healthcare facility operates a Medical Surgical unit directly adjacent to the Emergency Department, functioning similar to a clinical decision unit. The facility specializes in caring for observation patients who are held overnight for continued workup and evaluation. The unit maintains a daily census of 24 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure quality patient care.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
