Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
• Self-scheduling system
• Patient ratios: 1:5 during days, 1:6 during nights
• Float required to other Med/Surg units and Observation Unit (no floating to other facilities)
• Weekend coverage required - must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult medical patients including those needing dialysis, PD, stroke patients, heart failure, delirium/dementia, end of life care, and mental health/substance withdrawal
• Work with special equipment including feeding tubes, chest tubes, trachs, and blood administration
• Required skills: Blood product administration, central line blood draw, feeding tube care and management, heparin, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• 1.5 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
