Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics experience required - neurosurgery experience mandatory
• First time travelers not accepted
• Must be able to function independently in neurosurgery
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for all shifts
• Care for patients of all ages including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in 18-room OR unit within 593-bed facility with daily census of 50-60
• Weekend coverage required with 2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks
• Call requirements: 1-2 calls per week (Monday-Thursday) with 30-minute callback response time
• Weekend call starts at end of shift Friday through 0700 Monday
• Holiday coverage as call only per department need
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC experience required
• Pennsylvania RN license required with no license hits accepted
• RTO maximum 7 days per contract
• Must complete 5-6 hours of pre-start modules
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• Manager interview required after clinical screening
• Skills include craniotomy, laminectomy, spinal fusions, trauma care, and various neurosurgical procedures
