Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with rotating weekends and rotating holidays
• No call required
• Self-scheduling available
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must work every other weekend per contract
• 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours non-billable
• Team nursing model
• 1 year of experience required, accepts first-time travelers
• Charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS
• Must live 100 miles from facility
• Epic charting system experience
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, ICU downgrades, and stroke overflow
• Manage telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration
• Provide central and peripheral line care, manage cardiac drips without titration
• Use special equipment including bladder scanning, EKG, and vein finders
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Work with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Handle special procedures including cardiac catheterizations, stress tests, and TEEs
• Daily census of 37 patients with 38 beds available
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
