Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 3 twelve-hour mid shifts from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• No block scheduling
• Patient ratios of 5-6 patients for all shifts
• 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• EPIC experience required
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Expected to float to like acuities or less if needed
• Charge experience preferred but not required
• Care for patients from neonates to geriatrics
• Handle approximately 100-116 emergency department visits per day
• Work with ED providers including MD/PA in triage area
• May perform conscious sedation procedures
• Use Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
• Required certifications: NIH/Stroke, BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS
• Skills include emergency medications, IV management, dysrhythmia interpretation, procedural sedation, triage, and stroke care
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
