Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work day shifts approximately 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (end time may vary by an hour)
• On-call responsibilities required
• Weekend coverage required with varying number of shifts per contract
• Patient ratio of 1:1 during day shifts
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must have 2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Texas RN license or compact state license required
• Experience with MedHost and GE MacLab preferred
• Charting system experience required (Allscripts), Altera experience preferred
• Travel experience strongly preferred
• Must live more than 150 miles away from facility or live in metropolitan area
• Work in 1 room facility with 7 beds
• Handle procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, ICD implants, IABP placement, and Impella insertion
• Manage patients with diagnoses including STEMI, ACS, NSTEMI, PAD, CAD, and arrhythmias
• Work with specialized equipment including MERGE HEMO, Philips X-Ray, Philips IVUS, and Penumbra systems
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must complete mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
