Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry unit that is a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• Serve patients with neuro-related diagnoses as well as telemetry overflow patients from other populations
• 36 hours per week guaranteed with every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float required to M/S and M/S Tele units as needed to support hospital operations
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in 36-bed unit with daily census of 36
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Basic EKG testing (provided through Prophecy Relias)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with neurology and MS/Tele experience mandatory
• Must complete virtual modules on first day (8 hours for new starts, up to 175 minutes annually)
• Valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Common patient diagnoses include CVA, epilepsy, ischemic stroke, seizures, and various medical surgical conditions
• Unit features EEG continuous bedside monitoring and telemetry capabilities
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
