Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend call required - 4 shifts per 6-week schedule
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• CVOR experience required
• Open heart surgery experience required
• Must be able to scrub
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Must have compact license or MD license
• Two supervisor references required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with daily census of 1-9 in 3-room unit
• Circulate and scrub heart and vascular cases
• Circulate only for structural heart cases
• Handle procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, and thrombectomy
• Work with patients diagnosed with CAD, AS, MS, TS, Afib/Aflutter, PVD, PE, and carotid stenosis
• Complete pre-start modules averaging 12 hours
• No more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract preferred

This major healthcare facility features a comprehensive cardiovascular operating room with 3 surgical suites specializing in heart and vascular procedures. The facility provides advanced cardiac and vascular care including structural heart procedures, complex cardiac surgeries, and vascular interventions. The unit offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
