Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend (EOW) schedule
• Float to MedSurg units as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Alabama nursing license
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Tele, and PCU/Stepdown
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must have strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
• Required to start IVs and manage Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration responsibilities
• Experience required in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must be proficient in use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Blood product administration experience required
• Central line care/management and peripheral line care/management skills needed
• Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management required
• Must be competent in isolation precautions and telemetry monitoring
• Charting system experience required (any system acceptable)
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Weekend coverage required
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 8 hours
