Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in Medical PCU with almost ICU level acuity caring for patients with multiple cardiac drips
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with multi-organ failure, liver failure, and pulmonary conditions
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips, start IVs, interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Charge experience preferred with potential charge coverage responsibilities
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH
• Must work every other weekend per contract with potential for consecutive weekends based on operational needs
• Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within facility and affiliate hospitals
• Travel with patients for procedures as needed
• Must be willing to precept students and work in teaching facility environment
• Experience with stable vents, central line care, blood product administration, and isolation precautions
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
