Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• 13 to 26 week contracts available
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Floating required as needed with potential to float every shift
• Weekend requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend)
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Preferred certification: NIH
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring experience required
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and sheath removal experience required
• Experience with accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care management, and PICC line management required
• Cardiac drip titration experience (Diltiazem and Amiodarone) required
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization
• Perform special procedures including cardiac drips, sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop
• Use Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems
• Self-scheduling per unit needs
• 24-hour orientation required
• Navy scrubs required (not provided)
• Must adhere to storm team/hurricane team assignments during catastrophic events
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
• Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
