Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Monitor telemetry and care for patients in Med/Surg ICU setting
• Manage patients on drips, ventilators, BiPAPs and occasionally arterial or CVP monitoring
• Maintain 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio typically
• Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• ICU unit holds medical overflow non-ICU patients at times
• May float to different units as needed
• Kansas nursing license or compact license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• One reference required
• Complete approximately 1 hour of non-billable modules pre-start
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must be proficient in extensive ICU skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, IV drip titration, and emergency medications

This regional medical center operates a 6-bed Med/Surg ICU that provides comprehensive critical care services. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The ICU is equipped to handle complex medical cases requiring advanced monitoring and life support equipment, maintaining high standards of patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
