Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with all potential Med Surg diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with 32 rooms and average daily census of 29
• Work every other weekend with floating requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Holiday work required: if one or two major holidays fall during assignment, work all holidays; if three major holidays fall during assignment, work two of them
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must have 1 year minimum experience (first timers accepted)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Skills required: isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, nasal cannula, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, starting IVs, PICC line management, blood product administration, feeding tube care and management
• Use of Pyxis and SBAR communication systems
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Full compliance required to start on time with bi-weekly orientation schedule
