Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hour guaranteed work week
• Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
• Patient diagnoses include diabetes, med/surg, post op, wound vacs, bariatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 33-bed unit with average daily census of 28
• Required to work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Holiday work required based on assignment period length
• Must wear navy blue scrubs
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Also uses Pyxis and SBAR systems
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Skills include IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, and chest tube management
• Work with special equipment including Diligent lift equipment and space labs in every room
• Minimum 1 year experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Must be compliant with facility requirements to start on time or face 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
