Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position in Med Surg/Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients
• Care for adult and geriatric patients from ED that meet admission criteria
• 40-bed unit with daily census of 40 patients
• Weekend coverage required (EOW - every other weekend)
• Self-scheduling available
• Float within hospital within scope of practice
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Additional requirements: Prophecy Relias Basic EKG, 4-hour annual stroke CEUs
• Skills needed: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, basic EKG
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable modules completed virtually on first day and annually
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
