Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Patient ratios: Days (1:5) / Nights (1:6)
• 50-bed telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Float required to other units as needed
• Call required
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Must have minimum 1+ year of telemetry/medical-surgical experience
• Experience with cardiac drips, EKG interpretation, and Epic charting system required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be comfortable with cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Skills include feeding tube care, accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, IV starts and maintenance
• Experience with heparin protocols, cardiac drips (no titration), PCA pumps, and isolation precautions required
• Must participate in "Emergency Team" assignments during facility emergencies with expectation to remain at facility until event passes
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
