Description
Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
• Patient ratios range from 1:4-6 depending on acuity level (MS, PCU, or ICU level care)
• This is an acuity adaptable unit with patients ranging from medical-surgical to PCU/stepdown/ICU level care
• Float position that may require floating to inpatient PCU units
• Boarding unit where patients come from ED and are boarded until discharge or moved to inpatient unit
• 4-bed unit that can expand to 8-10 beds with staffing adjusted based on acuity and need
• Team nursing environment working with RN/LPN requiring comfortable delegation skills
• Must be comfortable with high-paced environment and fluctuating ratios
• Could see as many as 15 admissions per day due to constant turnover
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of experience required with PCU experience mandatory
• Travel experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts, 48 hours for 4x12 shifts
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Skills include blood product administration, central line management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, telemetry monitoring, and ventilated patient care
• Floating is 100% required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals
• Local residents not accepted for this position

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
