Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required based on operational needs
• Float required to Telemetry and/or Medical Surgical units as needed (1:5/1:6 ratio)
• Patient ratio experience of 4-6 required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience strongly preferred
• PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must have compact license or MD license
• Two supervisor references required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, and post-surgical patients
• Perform special procedures including chest tube management, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, and IV infusions
• Work with equipment including bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment
• Skills required include central line care, chest tube management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, feeding tube care, and telemetry monitoring

This healthcare facility operates a 15-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various diagnostic services.
