Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3x12 schedule)
• Patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 years of Med Surg Tele experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• First time travelers accepted
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Preferred certification: ACLS
• Required skills: MS/Tele, Cardiac Monitoring, Genitourinary/Renal, IV therapy/Phlebotomy
• Additional skills include blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin and insulin administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, PICC line management, wound care, and telemetry monitoring
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, pneumonia, diabetes, ESRD, renal failure, and PE/DVT
• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
