Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Must be willing to take charge when asked
• 2 years of experience required (will screen at 1.5 years)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Guaranteed hours: 8 and 10 hour shifts - 40 hours in one workweek; 3, 12 hour shifts - 36 hours in one workweek; 4, 12 hour shifts - 48 hours in one workweek
• Patient ratios: 1:5/6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Adult/Geriatric Medical Surgical unit with 24 daily census
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with thoracentesis, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CVA, hypoxia, electrolyte imbalances, weakness, hypertension, small bowel obstruction, altered mental status, and renal failure preferred
• Floating is 100% required - candidates will float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• 12 hours of orientation
• Dress code: red scrub top with black pants
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking available
• Indiana state license required and must be in hand prior to start date
• 2 supervisor references required
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
