Description

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour shifts with guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Patient ratios range from 1:5-6 depending on acuity level
• Float position that can be floated to inpatient PCU units
• Acuity adaptable unit with patients ranging from medical-surgical to PCU/stepdown/ICU level of care
• Boarding unit for ED patients who are stable and awaiting discharge or transfer to inpatient units
• Unit size ranges from 4 beds up to 8-10 beds with staffing adjusted based on acuity and need
• Team nursing model with RN/LPN collaboration and delegation responsibilities
• High-paced environment with up to 15 admissions per day due to constant turnover
• Work every other weekend required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No on-call requirements
• 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• PCU experience required for floating responsibilities
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must be comfortable with blood product administration, central line care, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, telemetry monitoring, and ventilated patient care
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Local candidates and first-time travelers not accepted
• Charge pay available with $3.00 per hour differential

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
