Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Patient ratio: 1:4-5 (high staffing ratio unit)
• Work with mixed MS/Tele and intermediate patients including neuro, respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical cases
• Assignments may be all PCU, all MS/Tele, or a mix depending on patient acuity and staffing
• Titrating cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring required
• Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Every other weekend schedule
• Floating required within facility
• No call requirements
• Holiday work requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment period
• Full compliance required to start on time with 2-week pushback if not compliant
• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, neuro stepdown care, blood product administration, central line care, IV management, and isolation precautions

This healthcare facility features a 36-bed progressive care unit that serves as a stepdown unit with high patient ratios. The facility specializes in caring for intermediate care patients with a mixed population of medical/surgical and stroke patients. The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and transportation services. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology to support complex patient care needs in a fast-paced environment.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
