Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 day/night rotating shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients on days, nights, and weekends
• Float required to other units as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Must have compact license or MD license
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, central line care, IV management, wound care, tracheostomy care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions
• 36-hour orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• No more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract preferred
• No RTO allowed in first two weeks of assignment

This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 28 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern technology including Cerner charting systems for documentation.
