Opportunity:

Pharmacist - Pharmacist Inpatient

Job Details:

• Work weekdays with variable weekends required
• 40 hours of orientation required
• Pharmacy residency training required
• Acute/inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required certifications: BCPS, BLS, Board Certified, Chemo/Hazardous Drug, IV Certification, PharmD, State licensed
• Serve patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in 320-bed facility with daily census of 200 patients
• Provide comprehensive pharmacy services including clinical dosing, drug shortage management, sterile compounding, and therapeutic medication monitoring
• Handle high-alert medications, chemotherapy preparation, IV medications, and anticoagulation therapy
• Work with specialized equipment including Pyxis, McKesson systems, and TPN mixers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Must have Texas pharmacy license in-hand before start date
• Complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Modules completed during orientation and recorded via Oracle system

This comprehensive healthcare facility is a 320-bed acute care hospital providing a full range of medical services to the community. The facility maintains a daily census of 200 patients and offers specialized trauma care services. The pharmacy department works closely with interdisciplinary support teams to provide comprehensive patient care across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics, with modern technology systems and specialized equipment to support complex pharmaceutical care needs.
