Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in ICU unit with floating required to PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
• Must be able to handle higher patient ratios - 3:1 days/nights, 3.5:1 weekends
• Available shifts: 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour options
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 3 years of experience required (may consider less depending on experience)
• Travel experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be willing to obtain Indiana license or compact license prior to start
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Dress code: Red tops, black bottoms
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking available
• Adult patient population with daily census of 7 patients
• 12-bed/12-room unit
• Must be proficient in advanced ICU skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, post-cardiac surgery care, and emergency medications
• Common patient diagnoses include ARDS, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, DKA, AKIs, UTIs, and acute shock
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
