Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Must be flexible with weekend requirements and work 50% of weekends during contract
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:5-6 nights
• Must be willing to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) - refusal may result in contract termination
• Required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• May be expected to precept students or have students shadow during assignment
• Charge coverage responsibilities may be required with training provided
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• Required certification: BCLS
• Skills required: Starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pre/post cardiac surgery care, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, heparin protocols, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular surgical, peripheral vascular surgical conditions, arrhythmias, endocarditis, CHF exacerbation
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must have Indiana or compact license in hand prior to start date
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
