Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must be flexible with weekend requirements - required to work 50% of weekends during contract
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 5-6 patients during nights
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 29-bed unit with daily census of 25
• Must be willing to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within hospital or to affiliate hospitals
• Refusal to float may result in contract termination
• May be required to provide charge nurse coverage with training and resources provided
• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or having students shadow during assignment
• Call-in policy requires makeup shifts or extension of contract depending on FTE status
• Required certification: BCLS
• Skills required: IV starts and maintenance, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Additional skills: Pre/post cardiac surgery care, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, heparin protocols, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• License must be in hand prior to start date
