Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Minimum 3 years of neuro intensive care unit experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must have NIHSS certification in hand to be considered
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS
• Must be flexible with weekend requirements and able to work 50% of weekends in contract
• Patient ratios: 1:2 during days and nights, 1:2-3 on weekends
• Floating required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) at both University and Methodist Hospitals
• May be assigned charge nurse responsibilities with training and resources provided
• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or having students shadow during assignment
• Care for neuro critical care patients as well as medical, surgical, and trauma ICU patients
• Must have skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, ICP monitoring, IV starts, and ventilator management
• Indiana/Compact license required in hand or fingerprint application submitted
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
