Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with 1:6 patient ratio on all shifts
• Minimum 8 weekend shifts per 6 weeks required
• 3 guaranteed shifts per 13-week contract
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• No on-call requirements
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities
• Must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license at time of submission
• 2 years of recent specialty experience required with full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Required certification: BLS
• CRRT experience preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must complete 3 hours of pre-start EMR modules and additional compliance modules
• Skills required include: IV insulin protocols, feeding tube management, hemodialysis management, blood product administration, central/PICC line care, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy management, and interpretation of ABGs
• Care for adults and geriatrics with medical-surgical conditions emphasizing rehabilitation services
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

The facility maintains a daily census of 24-30 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization utilizes modern technology including EPIC charting systems and maintains high standards for patient care with lift equipment and specialized medical devices available for optimal patient outcomes.
