Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hours per week with 2/2 or 2/16 start dates preferred
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• One call shift required per 6-week schedule
• Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday counts as weekend shift)
• 40 hours of orientation required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 13-bed medical-surgical unit
• Daily census ranges from 10-13 patients
• Handle post-operative, orthopedic, diabetes, pneumonia, wound care, continuous bladder irrigation, and urology cases
• Med-surg unit with no telemetry monitoring or cardiovascular drips
• 2 years of experience required with patient ratio experience of 5:1
• Travel experience required
• Must live at least 150 miles from facility (may consider candidates at least 50 miles on case-by-case basis)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Allscripts charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must complete drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Hard document deadline: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date
• Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
