Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work in a brand new stepdown unit expected to open March 8, 2026
• Maintain 1:3 patient ratio with 12 beds total and average daily census of 11
• Every other weekend required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
• 36 hours of unit orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with travel experience mandatory
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Float to ICU and ED for helping hands approach using team nursing model
• Care for patients with respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, post-surgical care, stable single organ trauma, and stroke
• Manage arterial/central lines, telemetry, BiPAP/High Flow, epicardial wires, and chest tubes
• Work with special equipment including lifts in every room, noninvasive fluid management system, air taps, and telemetry monitoring
• Use Omnicell, EPIC, and SBAR communication systems
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be flexible during new unit opening process
• First time travelers not accepted
• Former employees of Solution Health system not eligible regardless of separation time

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
