Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend schedule
• Option for 4x12 shift pattern available
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatrics population
• 30-bed unit with 30-minute lunch break required (no skipped meals)
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Alabama nursing license required
• Current BLS via AHA and Fit Test required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Skills include: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA pumps, PICC line management, surgical drains
• Work with regular medical surgical patients
• Must adhere to strict call-in policy
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• ASAP start availability preferred
