Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Call required 1 day per week, Friday and weekend every 3rd week
• Work in block scheduling format
• 3 hours of orientation provided
• Patient ratios of 5 during day shifts
• Work with patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Perform approximately 40 visits per day in 3 ultrasound rooms
• Provide quality imaging to aid in patient diagnosis and continuum of care
• Assist radiologists with examinations
• Work in hospital environment with 350 average daily census in radiology department
• Perform special procedures including ultrasound guided breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Operate Siemens ultrasound equipment with appropriate transducers
• Must be graduate of ultrasound/sonography program
• Minimum 1 year related sonographer experience required
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Required certifications: ARDMS or ARRT registration and current CPR/BLS
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and lift up to 100 pounds
• Ability to work 8+ hours performing sonography exams in various departments
