Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekend coverage required with flexible scheduling options including block scheduling, two shifts, or every weekend plus one additional shift
• Must be willing to work holidays
• Patient ratio of 1:5 across all shifts
• 36-hour orientation period required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS
• Required skills: Conscious Sedation, Telemetry, Triage, and Vents
• Must have Cerner experience
• Minimum 2 years experience required with at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Scrubs not provided - must wear navy blue
• Care for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Handle daily census of approximately 200 visits in 62-bed emergency department
• Perform procedures including conscious sedation, chest tubes, arterial lines, joint reductions/splinting, and ventilator management
• Work with specialized equipment including rapid infusers, GE monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and Zoll defibrillators
• Two supervisor references required

This major medical center operates a high-volume emergency department with 62 beds serving approximately 200 patients daily. The facility provides comprehensive emergency care for all age groups and specializes in cardiac, respiratory, stroke/neuro, orthopedic, oncology, and trauma cases. The emergency department is equipped with advanced medical technology and offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized equipment for complex procedures.
