RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on medical surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, including overflow unit, post-surgical, and observation patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7 during days, nights, and weekends
• Unit is transitioning to team nursing model with LPN support
• On-call shifts as needed and weekend coverage as needed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 42
• Patient diagnoses include medical oncology, GYN surgery, and general med-surg
• 2+ years of recent medical surgical experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required: Telemetry monitoring, IV start
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Must maintain active RN license in state or compact license
• ADN degree acceptable for this position
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility to be considered
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if assignment includes Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical telemetry unit that provides care for a diverse patient population including medical oncology, gynecological surgery, and general medical-surgical patients. The facility maintains a 42-bed unit with extensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The organization is currently implementing a team nursing model to enhance patient care delivery and support staff effectiveness.
