Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Med surg, overflow unit, post surgical, and observation patients
• Patient ratios of 1:6/7 during days, nights, and weekends
• Unit is transitioning to team nursing with LPN support
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• 2+ years of recent medical surgical experience required
• One year of travel experience required
• Travel experience mandatory - first-timers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required: Telemetry monitoring, IV starts
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Daily census of 42 patients in 42-bed unit
• Patient diagnoses include medical oncology, GYN surgery, and general med-surg
• Interdisciplinary support available including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• ADN acceptable for this position
• All RTO must be included at time of submission
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if they fall during assignment
