Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Med surg, overflow unit, post surgery, and observation patients
• Patient ratio 1:6/7 during days, nights, and weekends (transitioning to team nursing with LPN support)
• 2+ years of recent medical surgical experience required
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
• On-call as needed
• Weekend requirements as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills needed: Telemetry monitoring, IV starts
• Patient populations: Adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of 42 patients with 42 beds available
• Patient diagnoses include medical oncology, GYN surgery, and med-surg
• Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
• Cerner experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility
• Holiday work requirements: must work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment
