Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with no call required
• Floating required to other units
• PCU patient ratio 1:5, Med Surg ratio 1:7 when floated
• Weekend coverage required: 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays per schedule period for day shift, 6 Friday/Saturday/Sunday shifts per period for night shift
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Must live 100+ miles from hospital service area
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS
• 24 hours of orientation (16 hours non-billable)
• Care for adult patients with daily census of 33
• Skills required: Telemetry, PCU/stepdown care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drips (no titration), oxygen administration, isolation precautions
• Special procedures include dialysis and peritoneal dialysis
• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
