Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratio with 10-bed unit capacity
• Work every other weekend as required
• Float to other ICU units when Neuro ICU is overstaffed or other units are critically understaffed
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI
• Preferred certification: NIHSS
• Royal blue scrubs required
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Self-scheduling system
• One pre-approved time off allowed
• Care for neurosurgery ICU patients including post-craniotomy and traumatic brain injury cases
• Perform frequent neuro checks and accompany patients to CT/MRI studies
• Manage external ventricular drains (EVDs) and specialized neuro equipment
• Must live more than 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• May be assigned to emergency response team during facility emergencies
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Louisiana or compact license required upon submittal
