Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week (8-10 hour shifts), 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts), or 48 hours per week (4x12 hour shifts)
• Approximately 110 on-call hours required
• Must work 1 full weekend within a 6-week call schedule
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTA (must be in hand)
• Indiana state license required (must be in hand, pending licenses not accepted)
• Must be able to receive pump lines from perfusion and prepare them for cannulation
• Handle cardiovascular and heart/lung transplant cases
• Work with patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Scrub color provided by facility
• Use Cerner charting system
• Free parking provided
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 2-3 days of interview availability required when submitting candidacy

This is a short-term acute care facility specializing in cardiovascular procedures and heart/lung transplants. The hospital operates as a teaching facility with trauma capabilities and features multiple staffed bed units ranging from 153 to 210 beds across different areas. The facility maintains high standards for surgical services and provides comprehensive cardiovascular care including complex procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and ventricular assist device implantations.
