Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with no call requirements
• Float to other units as needed with 1:7 ratios when floated to medical surgical units
• Patient ratios of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with 2 Saturday/Sunday shifts per schedule period for days or combination of 6 Friday/Saturday/Sunday shifts for nights
• 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours being non-billable
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH stroke scale, AHA ACLS
• Cardiovascular PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Permanent residence must be 100+ miles from hospital service area
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
• Self-scheduling system
• Adult patient population with daily census of 37 patients
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, post-cardiac procedures, central line management, blood product administration, and various specialized equipment
