Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• 12-hour orientation required
• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with every other holiday worked
• Float to all other inpatient units as needed (agency staff pulled first)
• No guaranteed specific scheduling requests (block scheduling not available)
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, hypertension, MI, renal failure, pulmonary embolism, CHF, GI bleed, and syncope
• Handle med-surg overflow patients including GI bleed, sepsis, CVA, and COVID+ cases
• Perform pre/post cath lab care, PPM/AICD procedures, ablations, and vascular surgeries
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, and heparin
• Conduct sheath removal at bedside
• Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, and telemetry interpretation
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience and Louisiana or Compact state license
• NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission)
• Must live more than 65 miles from facility
• Strict no call-in policy enforced
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during facility emergency events with expectation to remain until event passes

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
